Storyboard Film produces films for universities, research projects, public organisations and institutions in Sweden. We help communication teams, researchers and project groups turn complex information into clear, credible and engaging films.
We can handle the complete production – from the initial brief, research and script development to interviews, filming, graphics, editing and final delivery. Our production model is flexible, allowing us to adapt the crew and resources to the actual needs of the project.

Experience With Research and Public-Sector Communication
Research and public communication often place particular demands on both content and process. Information needs to be accurate and properly anchored while the film still has to make sense to people who are not already familiar with the subject.
We have produced films for universities, municipalities and other public organisations within areas including research communication, education, public information and organisational communication.
We often work closely with communication teams, project managers and subject-matter experts to identify the essential message within a large amount of information and turn it into a film people can understand and remember.
When Complex Information Needs to Become Clear
Many projects begin with research, reports, technical information or knowledge held by several specialists. The challenge is rarely a lack of information – it is deciding what the audience actually needs to understand.
We help structure the content and determine what is best communicated through interviews, script, real environments, graphics or practical examples. When accuracy is critical, we work closely with the client’s researchers and subject-matter experts throughout the process.
The aim is a film that feels credible to people who know the subject and understandable to people who do not.
Video for Research, Information & Education
For public information, organisational communication and complex subjects that need to become clearer and easier to understand.
Research Communication
Films that make research and specialist knowledge accessible to professional audiences, decision-makers, funders or the wider public.
Educational & Instructional Video
For situations where the audience needs to understand a process, learn something or be able to perform a task after watching the film.
University & Programme Communication
Films that explain academic programmes, research environments and opportunities to prospective students, collaborators or other stakeholders.
A Production Process That Works for Complex Projects
Audience, Objectives & Content
We begin with who the film needs to reach, what the audience should understand and what requirements the project has regarding content, schedule, formats and delivery. Together with communication teams and subject-matter experts, we identify the core message and decide how it can best work as film.
Script, Interviews & Production
Depending on the project, we work with scripts, interviews or a combination of both. When researchers, experts or employees appear on camera, we develop questions that help them communicate their knowledge naturally in their own words. The production can range from a compact crew to a larger setup when the project requires it.
Editing, Review & Delivery
Interviews, images, graphics, music and sound are shaped into a clear story. When required, we work with agreed review rounds and deliver different lengths, aspect ratios, subtitles and language versions.

Public Procurement, Accessibility & Multiple Versions
We are accustomed to projects where scope, responsibilities, deliverables, schedules and review processes need to be clearly defined from the beginning. Storyboard can take responsibility for the complete film production or work alongside the client’s communication team, project management and subject-matter experts.
Productions can also be planned for several uses – for example a longer main film, shorter social-media versions, different aspect ratios, subtitles and multiple languages. If the project has specific accessibility or delivery requirements, these can be incorporated from the planning stage.
Selected Public-Sector & Research Productions
Karolinska Institutet – Research & Collaboration
An English-language information film about collaboration between academia and industry and how research can be translated into practical benefits for patients and society. The story was built around researchers and other experts and filmed in real research and clinical environments.
